Decided not to continue with the background since it’s meant to be a dynamic, battle mood type piece, since there’s a bit of movement going on. But it didn’t really turn out how I’d originally planned and I’m not completely satisfied with it, so I’ll probably most likely continue it some other time.

So I decided to draw Varili again after I drew that Sad sad Varili pic of him as a child, maybe even in his early teens. He’s mostly likely practising hand to hand aura manipulation with one of his peers in this one, smearing his markings onto his face. In fact he never truly practises aura manipulation until he’s like sixteen in ‘Tainted Childhood’ so I suppose this is a what if scenerio of mine I’ve been thinking of.

I think if he had been raised in the clan perhaps his older brother would’ve survived and his parents would’ve been more acceptive of his wild ways, he certainly would’ve been tutored at an earlier age meaning more experience with aura manipulation.

But with all that power I suppose he could’ve been more cold, full of himself, easily getting a place in the Night Watch for sure, he wouldn’t have ever met his previous Fiancé and she’d still be alive. I wonder if the rest of the Night Watch, Surya, Riaz and Cyprian, would’ve thought differently of him.

I have a feeling they wouldn’t be anywhere near as close as they are now, as the three would be more likely treated like subordinates by him, perhaps he wouldn’t have even met his mate.

But afterall that’s only a what if, whereas now although he’s weaker he’s certainly got a bigger heart. He’s always looking to help people out, and when he can’t it can really hurt him as he was unable to help someone in the past and all he could do was just stand there and just watch her die.

Every thing he’s been through has made him the person he is now, and I think if he’d had the chance to live it all again he would just to be able to make all the friendships he’s made and to be able to meet the true love of his life again.

Wouldn’t we all make the same choice?

It’s so easy to get down about little things regarding drawing and art, but at the end of the day, we draw cos we enjoy it and that’s the way it should always be.

Holding hands might just be the cutest thing ever. When the person nudges at your hand and eventually slides their fingers interlocking with yours and you feel your cheeks getting warm, and your heart pounding like drums. So beautiful and satisfying with a rush of different emotions. And just with the knowledge that your hands are linked together makes your hearts even fonder and you can literally feel how close you are to each other.
